Tattoo – this is a body ornament, made by the skin puncturing and coloring.

The styles of modern painting and design can be conventionally divided into the following directions;

• Traditional tattoo; military, clannish (serves to indicate the belonging to a particular group), memorable (a portrait, family members’ images, certain people), professional, patriotic and so on and so forth. Including accompanying inscriptions.
• Ethnic tattoo – this one is base on the fine arts and ornamental culture of the world’s peoples.
• Oriental – is based on the traditional Chinese and Japanese tattoos.
• Flora and fauna.
• Biomechanical - cyber-punk, or a new school found by G.R. Giger.
• All sorts of styles, tendencies, inscriptions, signs, symbols – this depends on the tattoo master and the collector fantasy.

Remember to pay right attention to the process of regeneration. Irregular care (or it absence) may lead to inflation, which is undesirable itself and can influence the result as well: Chinese or Indian ink fades, disappear, by the way the master will see at once how his work regenerated. Ink producers may give a warranty of brightness for 15 years, but every one should remember that ink on the skin is an organic dye subjected to the fading on the sun, and remember to take proper care of a new tattoo – bathing, do not forget to protect your tattoo with special creams.

As soon as the tattoo is done a special compress is made for 12-24 hours. When it’s removed a special and important moment comes – proper care of a new tattoo. It’s important not just to make but to save it and this is your trouble however. The term of any tattoo closing up is about 7-10 days.

These days you should avoid:

• Water your tattoo
• Steam it out (in the sauna)
• Scratch it
• Rub it with alcohol-containing solution
• Watch the tattoo not to dry up and cover ( the master will recommend you special creams and the ways they should be used)
• Go to solarium
• Dirt the tattoo (dust for example)
• Go to the gym
• Before and after the very process of making the tattoo it’s forbidden to drink alcohol, coffee or any energy drinks
• Drugs are strictly forbidden

In Thailand for example tattoos do serve not only for mere decoration. This is a serious business. Many people here believe that tattoos may give them special power- something from being more attractive to being more powerful and even harmless. You should also look after your tattoo very carefully and with proper respect, as thoroughly as you will take care of an amulet. For the tattoo to bring about more power you should choose properly both the tattoo master and an ornament.
