Brain-Piercing: Extreme Body Piercing Idea

The times when piercing was considered to be something extraordinary and even scary are gone. We are used to meet people with their ears, noses, eyebrows and even eyelids pierced. But what if I tell you that one can have his brain pierced? An extreme body piercing idea! And this is for real!

They drill small holes in your  skull, then pass a metal (gold or silver) ring through them. The trick is that the ring presses the brain tissue and invokes euphoria. The whole procedure is carried under an anesthesia and after the ring is passed, it does not cause any pain.

So they will cut you hair first, then bore in your scull two tiny foramens with a drill, then drag the ring through them with the bent needle. The foramens will be done on your nucha - there is an especially sensitive range of a brain. The ring will easily massage it and keep you in the state of euphoria. The only problem you can face is that you will have to try hard to find a piercer. There are very few persons capable. And the price is $1000 for the whole procedure.

The people who do already have it say that brain-piercing is something less harmful and cheaper than drugs. Doctors say it may cause an irretrievable damage for your brain. But no pleasure comes for free. Anyway, can this become a piercing of the future? A constantly happy brain-pierced nation! How does this sound?

P.S. Please, read my other article about a self-tattoo machine.

There is also the risks of infection. I say risks instead of risk, because making an open hole through the skull compounds it by several factors. Anyone who survives a year or more with a brain piercing should never gamble, because they’ve used up all their luck.

    - The happy parts of the brain are generally on the inside, like the amygdala.

    - No neurologist or neurosurgeon, much less a tattoo artist, is going to find the “happy zone” from drilling a hole through your skull (not “scull” as stated in the article).

    - Neurosurgeons already do this in emergency situations to relieve pressure in the brain usually from an expanding bleed in the skull. They’re called Burr holes.

    - Very high risk of infection in the last place that your body wants an infection. Meningitis and encephalitis would be inevitable with this. Euphoria, not so much.

LOL i LOVE read peoples comments regarding this sort of thing, misinformation is indeed rife in todays information overloaded society. I will add though that patients who have undergone such skull breaching accidents or surgery for both medical and non medical reasons virtually all reports euphoric type feelings, it is understood that these result from an increase in oxygen levels to the brain. Im not at all sure about brain piercing but why the hell not, i dont fancy it but would seriously consider a bit of trepanation ;o)

“Brain piercing”: Trepanation meets body modification…

The squeamish probably didn’t get past the title but if you did then you may want to rethink going any further - it isn’t a pun or a cunning play on words, it is "brain piercing".
OK, so everyone else is sticking with us. We have seen so…

wouldnt an excessive amount of bleeding occur not to mention the realization of just wat a dork you are for having a peice of metal stuck in your brain, unless theres some exTREME exstacy influctuation that resembles some sort of druggie over dose state that enables pure vexation on the body i wouldnt be to sure thats a smart idea. UNLESS you really want it then that would be okay.

  45. admin on October 13th, 2008 12:31 am

No, Mr Miller, this article is not a joke. I found the info on a Russian tattoo website. And again, THIS IS FOR REAL. Some Russian friends of mine say they saw a couple of people with such a modification. And actually, the Tattoo Artists Riot article was not a joke from the very begining. It was after I published it that I knew the truth about Sakai.

And also: NO, THE WHOLE WEBSITE IS NOT A JOKE!
